Ted

I must humbly disagree. I would agree with your assertion circa 2002 and perhaps up through '03. However, thereafter, my experience has been sporadic at best. While I may get someone who knows what they are talking about, other times even the most basic and rudimentary questions they would be stymied over very simple and basic issues.

They are quick to go through the basic troubleshooting issues (i.e. Norton) but beyond that I've had major issues that went unresolved until I had a lot of time to tinker with it and fixed it on my own.

I must say ever since Lexis took over Data.Txt, I really think that they are just pushing a commodity, rather than a community. I am one of the few attorneys who sort of left the "official" CIC listserv due to its restrictive policies. To me that is the wrong approach. Having an honest dialog with pros and cons does not hurt TM.

As you can see from my blog, I have tried (in vain) to try to find substitutes for TM on the Mac. I have been unsucessful in finding such a unified product. So now I am running it with Parallels directly on my Mac.

I love your blog.

Oh... one thing. You said that Vista was efficient. I do not think so. I find it extremely bloated on a 2 week old Dell. If you do not have a "gaming" computer you'll feel it drag. I'd advise people to wait until optimal computing power is ready at a reasonable price (i.e. 6 months).

Vista runs well on my Mac Pro, but then I have 4 gb of ram.
